    Возвращаясь к рассмотрению платформ с интегрированным графическим ядром для процессоров AMD, предлагаем оценить возможности нового чипсета NVIDIA GeForce 7050PV/nForce 630a на примере материнской платы ASUS M2N-VM DVI. В конце статьи мы сравним полученные результаты тестирования с показателями протестированных нами ранее материнскими платами на чипсетах GeForce 6150, GeForce 6100, AMD 690G и выясним насколько перспективной получилась новинка от NVIDIA.

    Для начала сделаем небольшой анализ функциональных возможностей чипсетов NVIDIA с интегрированным графическим ускорителем:

    Материнская плата ASUS M2N-VM DVI упакована в небольшую черно-зеленую картонную коробку, на которой отмечено наличие аналогового RGB и цифрового DVI видеовыходов.

    На обратной стороне коробке указана поддержка воспроизведения HD DVD и Blu-ray дисков, а также совместимость с HDCP. Кроме того, перечислены некоторые фирменные технологии:

    ASUS CrashFree BIOS 2 – утилита автоматически восстанавливающая поврежденный BIOS. Ею можно воспользоваться при помощи идущего в комплекте CD или Floppy диска, содержащие файл с рабочей версией BIOS.

    ASUS EZ Flash 2 – утилита позволяет обновить BIOS прямо из меню его настройки и исключает необходимость использования DOS утилит перепрошивки BIOS и загрузочной дискеты.

    ASUS MyLogo 2 – утилита, конвертирующая графические файлы в 256-цветовое изображение нужного формата для загрузочного фона BIOS.

    Комплектация материнской платы ASUS M2N-VM DVI:

      сама материнская плата; два CD-диска с драйверами к Windows Vista и ПО; руководство пользователя и краткая инструкция по установке; шлейф FDD; шлейф UltraDMA 133/100/66; шлейф Serial ATA; переходник питания для устройств Serial ATA; заглушка на заднюю панель корпуса.

    Материнская плата ASUS M2N-VM DVI, довольно удачно распаянная на текстолите форм-фактора microATX. Компоновка платы имеет только один серьезный недостаток – длинная видеокарта, вставленная в разъем PCI-E x16, будет мешать осуществить изъятие модулей оперативной памяти из слотов. Еще одно неудобство может доставить повернутый на 90° разъем IDE – в небольших корпусах будет достаточно сложно подключить к нему шлейф, поэтому советуем подключить шлейф до установки платы в корпус, а в случае необходимости отключать только разъем от жесткого диска. Если посмотреть с другой стороны, то повернутый на 90° разъем IDE имеет и положительные стороны, в частности с ним не возникает проблем при установке очень длинных видеокарт, к тому же сам шлейф будет удобнее уложить в корпусе. В остальном, размещение слотов и разъемов не вызывает особых нареканий. Хотя, можно было бы еще отметить низко размещенный разъем подключения Floppy дисковода, но, в виду все меньшей актуальности этого устройства, данное обстоятельство недочетом считать нельзя.

    Чипсет, выполняющий еще и функции видеоускорителя, охлаждается достаточно небольшим алюминиевым радиатором, который выкрашен в черный цвет. NVIDIA MCP68PVNT поддерживает четыре порта SATA с возможностью создания RAID массивов 0, 1, 0+1, 5 и JBOD и один разъем IDE, что позволяет подключить два устройства UltraDMA 133/100/66/33. Фирменного Q-коннектора в комплекте нет, поэтому при подключении к разъему фронт-панели придется руководствоваться либо приведенной схемой чуть левее разъема, либо инструкцией. Все шесть внутренних портов USB размещены в правом нижнем углу материнской платы.

    На материнской плате ASUS M2N-VM DVI имеется два слота PCI, один PCIE х1 и один слот для видеокарты PCIE х16. Над слотом PCIE х16 расположены порты COM и LPT (модули для работы с ними придется искать отдельно), а также распаян гигабитный сетевой контроллер Attantsic F1. В нижнем левом углу материнской платы находиться HDA кодек шестиканального звука Realtek ALC662-GR и аудиоразъем фронт-панели, поддерживающий стандарты HDA и AC’97. Возле батарейки очень удобно расположены джампер сброса BIOS и зеленый светодиодный индикатор наличия на материнской плате дежурного питания.

    Питание процессора обеспечивается 3-фазной схемой стабилизации, которая собранна на N-канальных полевых транзисторах SSM60T03GH (30 В; 12 мОм; 45А) и SSM70T03GH (30 В; 9 мОм; 60А).

    На задней панели выведены следующие порты: два PS/2 для клавиатуры и мыши, аналоговый видеовыход VGA и цифровой DVI-D, четыре разъема USB, разъем RJ45 для сетевых соединений и три переключаемых audio-разъема 6-каналного звука.

    На материнской плате ASUS M2N-VM DVI есть два разъема для подключения вентилятора. Один 4-контактный для процессорного кулера расположен возле COM и LPT портов, а 3-контактный для корпусного вентилятора находится в правом верхнем углу материнской платы.


    BIOS

    В материнской плате ASUS M2N-VM DVI используется AMI BIOS, со средним набором настроек.

    Настойки, касающиеся разгона, находятся в разделе «Advanced». В подразделе «JumperFree Configurstion». После того, как вы выберите в пункте «AI Overclocking» пользовательский режим (Manual), можно будет установить следующие параметры системы:

      в пункте «CPU Frequency» задать опорную тактовую частоту процессора от 200 МГц до 300 МГц с шагом 1 МГц; в пункте «PCI-Express Frequency» изменять частоту шины PCI Express от 100 до 150 МГц с шагом 1 МГц; в пункте «Chipset Voltage» установить напряжение на чипсете 1,2 или 1,3 В; в пункте «Memory Voltage» установить напряжение на модулях памяти от 1,85 В до 2,0 В с шагом 0,05 В.

    Задав в пункте «AI Overclocking» режим автоматического разгона «Overclock Profile» можно установить 3%, 5% или 7% разгон системы.

    В подразделе «CPU Configuration» можно выполнить следующие настройки:

      Опция «GART Error Reporting» — разрешает тестирование GART (Graphics Address Relocation Table) таблиц памяти. Опция «Microcode Updation» разрешает работу механизма, исправляющего ошибки допущенные при разработке процессора, за счет изменения микрокода. Новая версия микрокода находиться в BIOS и загружается в процессор при выполнении инструкций BIOS. Опция «Cool ‘n’ Quiet» включает технологию энергосбережения процессора, понижающую его частоту и снижающую напряжение питания во время не полной загрузки.

    В подразделе «AMD Overlocking Configuration» есть опции:

      «Processor Frequency Multiplier» изменяющий множитель процессора от 5 до максимального; «Processor Voltage» изменяющий напряжение питания процессора от 1,2 В до 1,25 В с шагом 0,025 В;

    В подразделе «Memory Configuration» можно установить параметры задержек оперативной памяти (CL, RCD, RP, RAP) и отдельно Command Rate (CR), имеющий значения 1T или 2T.

    Опция «MCT Timing Mode» позволяет установить режим синхронизации памяти, а опция «Bank Interleaving» включает режим поочередной работы с банками памяти.

    «Memory Hole» — разрешение данного параметра запрещает использование обычным программам области памяти 15-го мегабайта, что позволяет увеличить скорость обращения к устройствам ввода/вывода.

    В подразделе «Hyper Transport Configuration» можно изменить параметры этой шины:

      частоту Hyper Transport — 200, 400, 800, 1000 МГц; и разрядность Hyper Transport: 4, 8 или 16 бит;

    В окне Hardware Monitor можно следить за:

    — температурой процессора;

    — скоростью вращения процессорного кулера и корпусного вентилятора;

    — напряжением питания ядра процессора;

    — величиной напряжения на основных линиях питания 3.3В, 5В, 12В.

    Здесь же можно активировать функцию автоматического управления скоростью вращения процессорного кулера Q-Fan. При этом необходимо будет установить минимальное напряжение питания вентилятора (от 4 до 6 В с шагом 0,5 В), а также задать нижний (от 25 до 48 в границах которого будет изменяться скорость вращения вентилятора.

    Как оказалось, возможности разгона материнской платы ASUS M2N-VM DVI достаточно слабые. Этот факт во многом объясняется отсутствием возможности нормально повысить напряжение питания на процессоре. Проводя стандартную процедуру испытания возможностей тактового генератора системной шины, мы смогли поднять его частоту только до 254 МГц.
